Sun
if
the sunlight
can
surround your
bed
and the
yellow haze
that cuts
through
the window
blinds
causes
geometric
lines to
form against
on your
skin
and bones

and if
the rays
can
kiss your
skin,
sink
in your
body,
and stain,
your cheeks,
lips,
eyes--

then
why,
oh
why,
can't i?

Life makes us bitter,
But with wings a flutter,
We soar.

Above the teardrops
Sitting like morning dew
In the naked eyes
Of our beholder;
We stay afloat,
And delightfully aglow.

The Run

Where do you run
From yourself?
To day-dreams ? to temporary highs?
To the never-ending motions of living?
Where do you run
When surrounded by mirror paned high walls?
For at every turn you run into yourself.
All that is left is something
With no end, no beginning,
Just the unrelenting turn of wheels.

I'm good enough,
I don't care what you say,
I'm proud of what,
I accomplished today.

I tried my best,
which makes me feel good,
I did much better,
than I thought I could.

Why do you criticize
and make me feel small?
Does it feel better,
when I stumble and fall?

Well, I'm here to tell you,
that I wont let your words hurt.
Because when I fall,
I'll just pick myself up from the dirt.

Please?

I'm broken, shattered,
But no one seemed to pick up the fragments,
I'm going down,
But nobody seemed to lend a helping hand,
I'm in the pitch black,
But no one seemed to have given me a light,
I'm on my own,
But nobody seemed to be accompanying me,
I ought to be rescued,
But nobody's there to save me.
Well, what about you?
Will you pick up the fragments which everyone abandoned?
Will you catch me when I fall?
Will you  bring me light when it's dark?
Will you prove to me that I'm not alone?
Will you be saving me?
Please, please?
Normally i have no one that could help me. I have this one really best friend who herself and her mum really care about me, and that's who I am relating to in this poem, asking if she will be the one.
