Timmy Shanti
here i am again
remember me, my friend
or i changed so much?
is my hand you touch
so unfamiliar?
and a little wrong
the feeling you possess
but it is so strong
no need to confess...
that’s the truth
everyone knows
nothing
there is
that can stop us
from making mistakes
eating bugs and snakes
and then regretting
forgetting
who we are
have we gone too far?

Written (2012)

Author: Long distance relationships are possibly the hardest test anyone ever has to go through. Soon, I'm leaving Utah (where my girlfriend lives) and flying back to Ontario (Where I live). It's scary but I'm going to write poetry to her so she knows distance can't change anything.

I'm sure he exists
i mean,
another like you
but for now you
are the only one
a strip of light on
the carpet in my
room, 30 minutes
away on a good
day without much
traffic and i'm
entirely horrified
by how confused
I am, my head is
all mist and tangled
string, my nose burns
with all the tears i
could cry but won't
because I already
have
most of all there are
parts of me screaming
to be acknowledged, to
let go of a hundred
things and welcome
something new but
i don't know how
i'm telling you i
don't know how and
nothing good comes
for girls like me who
are the way they are

Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
     universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
     destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
     reading "Keep Off."

My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
     in the universe.

Here is a glass of water from my well.
It tastes of rock and root and earth and rain;
It is the best I have, my only spell,
And it is cold, and better than champagne.
Perhaps someone will pass this house one day
To drink, and be restored, and go his way,
Someone in dark confusion as I was
When I drank down cold water in a glass,
Drank a transparent health to keep me sane,
After the bitter mood had gone again.
