There's not enough alcohol in the world
to fill the void you've left.
Your silence holds enough torture
in itself to remain nameless and
beyond anything explored.

Only I know -
I've mapped it out in several pages.

I have mapped out the curve on
your bottom lip that I never kissed,
and below that a chin that's connected finely to the jaw bones
chiseled by God himself.
Your soft palms that sprouted out to five
different ways in which you could have touched me.
Five ways in which I could have held on to you.

I should have.
But I was so stupid then.
In the morgues basement, I found you hiding
Compassionate feelings overcoming, in your favor they are dividing.
After holding your remains in that tin can
I came up with an idea I devised a master plan.
Body 2 Bones will be my informative speech in my class
They don’t know it yet out your urn, the bag all around, I will pass.
Some will be scared, and many jaws will drop to the floor
But I know, there will be a few that will be begging to see some more.
Thirty eight years in there trapped you did stay
Rubbing the side I then saw you, a genie inside I saw emerged
Out you came and now it’s time to play.
Asking me now to give a breath of fresh air
I opened your bag, I ran my fingers through
With wide opened eyes I did stare.
I kept you ten nights on my maple night stand
I did some digging and I learned, you came from a different land.
Having to now put you back, I’m fighting with all my might
Back into the darkness, darker then the night
You won’t rest, till your family comes to claim
Someday they will come.
till then don’t give up the fight.

Look on my arms,
Look at my thighs,
All covered in scars.

Not a thing any one can do,
To make me stop.
It's my escape,
My addiction perhaps.

The tension all pent up inside,
Comes out,
And comes
ALIVE,
When written on my arms an thighs.

That shiny silver,
Scrap of medal,
Brings my otherwise
Dead soul back
To life.

The lines,
The designs,
Make me feel like an
ARTIST.

The words,
And the hurt,
Are just my muse.

Letting the monster inside,
Seep out a little at a time.

The scars the wounds,
That cover my skin,
Call it a sickness,
Call it a sin,
But it's letting out what ever
That lives,

An idled peace in the forest breathes
Every thought in itself
Whole.
It must be the life spirit, the ministry,
Pole to pole rejoicing.
The thin veil lifted, a school of
Sweeping wings. Let this strange
Hill of nature's suit cradle
Itself.
Let that child rest.

My cottage beads in July's torment.
I dreamed of a fair day
Is why I'm here.
Revolving perspective, will someone
Please hand me a credible vantage point.
The lens to get an even look.

This ancient, contemplating
Frost moon.
Quiet thought.
Night beats on platters. Heaves
Roving breath.

Dwelling in Innocence
Till birth
Tender eyed, forgotten.
Sweet,
The day will come.

She, today, moves in fabulous array
Of shimmering sparks. Light pale drips
From her shoulders.
Bare wax, the space between myself
And the candle.
Blow away the pride and stand straight to her.
Step in stride. Give her
One to look at.

The sense that life esteems joyfully
Hosting frenzy indeed.
Vast scenes of shipwrecked landscapes.
Ruins whipped by choppy dust.

Heaven's heart treads alone,
Through the ocean's side.
The path of dew is told by the sky.

Lightning takes care of what is left.

The sunken lesson,
Knowing night is close. Shall
We bend through the lilacs weeping?
Laughing?
I tasted happiness
But it was fragile**
I breathed it in too deep
And far too fast
It broke into pieces
Just like glass
In my lungs
I've read the words
left unwritten
between the lines
bye bye crocodile

You touched so many
with your words
and your smile
bye bye crocodile

You've seen so much more
than many in this life
bye bye crocodile

Born of two minds
balance is the key
reading your thoughts
but never feeling your pain

Felt the emotions
as days turned to nights
victories no matter the size
still extract a price

Wish I'd had the chance
to spend a little time
sometimes there's more in life
than meets the eye

I hope you've found the peace
you needed in your life
I'll be missing your words
while writing this I cry

bye bye crocodile

The day was fast approaching
I could hardly wait
three days of sun and fun
were what was on my plate

They came from other countries
as well as from my own
gathering for what would be
an amazing show

Hero's from the 60's on their last hurrah
giants from the 70's were surely going to rock
then there was the newbies
thrown in like fresh meat
going to do their best to serve
a heavy musical treat

We packed the van and headed south
gathering friends along the way
hoping that the sun would shine
and stay that way for days

As we got closer to the entry gate
a thrill it went right through us
I remember  to this day
the excitement built incredibly
it seemed to come in waves
passing a spliff between us
peering through the haze

We entered the event site
and quickly set up camp
close to the gate
so we would not be missed

The late arrivals came at last
and then we did all toast
to our great fortunes
who would drink the most

The air was electric,
energy pouring from the crowd
the first band came to take the stage
a roar was let out

The crowd it  did move
as if it were one
giant breathing mass of flesh
in the blazing sun

We danced and sang till it was dark
the first night had begun
the music pounding out it's love
to the sinking sun

The heat it was oppressive
early the next morn
running behind the water truck
soaking away the sun

The next three days were a blur
but oh what a blast
The time made me appreciate
the love of the past

This happened back in '97
but to this very day
I wonder have I spent a better weekend
in  all my waking days.
Twist the neutral white wires together
Integrate the hot black wires into the power slot
Try not to get zapped
Ground the electricity by tangling the green and bare wires
Flip the switch to see if the magic happens
