the smell of your hair
like a field of a million sunflowers
the touch of your skin
like mulberry silk
your lips pressed against mine
lightning crashed upon waves
honey poured from your mouth
in those nights we got lost
beneath the sheets of your bed

not one day has passed, that i haven’t thought of you.

the hardest part
about missing someone
is not in the memories
you carry closest
but the ones
you had no idea
you’d miss so much

- for me, it was the face you’d make anytime you had something exciting to tell me.

beneath a midnight sky
she took his hand in hers
placed her head upon his chest
and with a whisper she and asked;
“will you love me forever..?”
her head racing
her heart hanging in limbo
she waited in silence.
gently running his hands
through her hair
he pointed her eyes towards the heavens
“just as the stars continue to shine,
and display their beauty
even long after they are gone
i will love you, just the same
each and every night
forevermore
and long after i am gone

her skin, scented in sage and witchcraft
moonlight spilled across her naked body
the air, screaming out with our filthy sins
you will forever be my sweetest hallelujah

our love lost among starlight
frozen beneath waves i lay covered
with nothing but memories of your magic
my dearly beloved

what is love but the act
of complete surrender
to hand oneself
over so willingly
in the most beautiful
and purest form of faith
to abandon reason
to trust in madness
within that uncertainty
dwells true happiness

every single night she meets me in secret
under darkened sky she gazes down
we talk about how lonely we are;
me, among seven billion people
and her amongst the infinite universe
