The moon shines a cool blue tonight
as we entwine our fingers, laying on the baseball field
beneath diamond heavens. We lie
in silence, in the moments when the Universe reveals
itself, and contemplate the distances between one celestial body to
another, the space between
us growing as I turn south
to find Orion while you seek Cassiopeia in the north.

Shooting stars cross the sky, and we wish separately on dead
stars and dead dreams, lights already grown red and extinguished
as we whisper in the dark, passing
between phases.

And in the end we're all left searching.
And when I wake up,
with the crisp sunlight shining through the shades,
casting horizontal shadows on my cheek,
My heart throbs with hatred
That I survived through the night.
For my love of life is growing bleak.
Wrote this poem about  two years ago when we were just discovering my problems with depression and anxiety.
Don't particularly like the writing, but I love reading this to see how far I've come since then.

Make it happen
Fine your passion
As you open yourself
Unlocking your heart
Exposed and bare
Feel the connection
Don't resist
In silence tempting the passion
Silence your mind
Let it go
You hunger to please and serve
Know what you want
Wanting more and more
Cast is the spell
Revealing yourself inside and outside
For I hold the key to your heart
Share whats never been exposed
The depth of your devotion

How soft this Prison is
How sweet these sullen bars
No Despot but the King of Down
Invented this repose

Of Fate if this is All
Has he no added Realm
A Dungeon but a Kinsman is
Incarceration—Home.
Drop me in your ocean
I will try not to drown
Vast and full of life
Beautiful and profound

Swallow me in your waves
Wildly unsound
Thrilling and revealing
Unstable and confound
