We're supposed to be two peas in a pod,
inseparable since birth,
the dynamic duo.
I'm supposed to know her
like the back of my hand,
laugh with her
like we're best friends,
love her till the very end.
She's supposed to smile
when she sees me
cry when I'm leaving
We're supposed to be closer
than we were in the womb
laughing and playing,
just us two.
O' what a shame it is then
that she's only nice to me
with alcohol
in her veins.
