my mind was filled with darkness
a pit of nothing until nothing became everything.
no light to see,
a dark night
and the stars seemed to have left the sky after losing their celestial battle.
I had nowhere to go,
because I couldn't see around me.
but then I saw a light,
and I followed the light,
and it led me to you.
my dark sky now had sunlight
and I could open my eyes without fear.
the darkness inside of me was fading
as your light took root.
even on the days it seems the darkness is going to win,
your light never falters.
