I grew up in the long summers of my mind
Caves and woods, warm spring days
Long summer evenings
Crisp autumn
Slanted sunlight and a lot of you ...

The miniature planes of Blackberry Park
A far off Hum
Late at night
If the wind was right’
Elevated trains
Coming and going
Hum of the city residing ...

In the past
So many memories
And a whole lot of you and whole lot of me
The way it should be
Empty swings swaying in the breeze
Can’t you see ...

Knowing you
Knowing me
While the ghosts of our memories
Play in our minds
Bring thoughts of shining stars
Painted on midnight skies
Laughter and happiness now
Disappear in the hearts of you and I
Knowing you, knowing me....*
