Decussate
Again I was turned away.
Lines burned to ash,
The fire threatens quick and bright.
Again I was pushed away.
Their desire to hear was never there,
I dared for something more.
Again I was put away.
Clever criticisms fill my silence,
Cold hearts torment the one still beating.
Though I am surrounded by a million people,
I am alone.
Wishing for something more,
There is nothing left.
I might need to wish myself away.
Decussate definition: cross or intersect each other to form an X.
