Gotta love me some open road
Doesn’t matter which way I go
Left or right nothing can stop me now
Cause I’m going to forget the memory of you somehow

So turn around and let me go
Walk away and forget my ghost
Cause the ways opening up; I’m driving way too fast
Making sure that this memory will never last

Cause one thing I've learned is life has no time
And wasting it on this 'game' seems likes such a crime
So I'm taking my life back and making a stand
And letting go of your selfish controlling hand

But the memories of you, just tantalize me
As I’m driving with no destination as far as I can see
Cause your smile is there every time I close my eyes
But then I open them and remember all your lies

So I keep on driving through the open road
With the burden lifting the faster I go
Left or right there's nothing that can stop me now
Cause I’m beginning to forget the memory of you somehow

Oh the beauty of the open road in the middle of the night
Seems like my thoughts just started to take flight
Now it’s just me and the stars in the midnight sky
Forgetting everything behind me except the reason why

The reason that got me to where I stand
That reason being, I’m becoming a better man
You and your memory were just getting in my way
So I’m creating a different path, its starting today

Yeah, gotta love me some open road
Doesn’t much matter which way I go
Left or right nothing can stop me now
Cause I’ve started to find my place somehow.
