told you I was a liar;
you did not believe me
ironic, yet tragic how
you trusted me so
completely, but didn't
take me at my word.
When people tell you who they are, believe them.
I'm no longer so much a liar, but it is surprising how rose tinted glasses can be for people, where they don't wish to see your flaws so much that they won't believe something you tell them directly.
No one wants to believe something so terrible.
