There’s a moment here,
Where the sky is dimly lit, violet
Bioluminescent fungi light like lawn lamps
To guide through the forest trails.

If you close your mind,
And open your ears -
You can embrace the susurrus of tiny feet
As all arboreal creatures find their way -
Back to leaf-covered beds in wooden apartments,
And the call of nocturnal watchers coo in the distance.

Here, where the last light recedes
And the moon’s play begins
As she glows up on high -
A spotlight for those in love with twilight.

If you’re lucky,
You’ll find the calming streams
Where the lunar glow reflects
And crickets play in an orchestra,
You can stare into the clear waters,
Find the you that needs to be
And wash away the you that no longer serves.

Peace is a choice,
If you seek it, it is in the nature of all things
Become something new -
For when the day breaks,
The sun again will shine on you.
