Mellow and Yellow
Dancing with your coffee
Under your gingerbread roof
While your Canadian maple syrup
Burns inside the refrigerator
The party guests arrive
Mask-less so you vacate the premises
Run away from the mask-less
Maybe hide in the great pumpkin patch
Because you’d rather be surrounded in myth
Than seep into soul-sinking reality
While you dry your hair off in the shower
With the mellow yellow dance
Of the coffee brew
