May 2013
flowers close at night
all silent
open wide when warm sun light
humans breathe in no such rhythm
in our walls electric blight
earth rest cycle we deny
and never mind the moon and tide
continuing agenda must dance
weariness to override
until at last relief delivered
maybe it comes all too soon
wisdom or the swoon of illness
finally we enter stillness
