slow to anger and frustration
quick to show kindess and love

you're not perfect my dear,
but i still want your hand in mine.

everything you hate about yourself,
i so love.

the way you ramble and stumble over your words
when you're nervous or don't know what to say,
i could listen to that all day.

your sweet eyes and gentle soul,
i've never seen anything so pure.

you're the good one,
and i hope i don't lose you.

so far the distance has brought us only closer,
but who knows as time goes on what the future will bring?
