I pick up the phone
My fingers start to dial
A number I've typed a hundred times
Yet never called
Cause what would I say
That I'm sorry?
That I'm going away?
That you'll never see me again?
No instead I turn it off and set it at my side
Cause I'm not going to die tonight
An answering machine never saved anyone.
