Shimmering stars
Optimism
Each twinkle pours

Though,
The flames of pain
Sears Each vein

The battle within
Each chamber of the heart
Tiresome

The sight of the glistening moon
Shining in serenity
Not bothersome of the darkness

Though,
Mind's bewildered
The voices of hope muffled

The murk sings its lullaby
Each spark of light succumbs
to an eternal sleep

After each darkened night
The sun rises
With its lofty stares

Though,
Morn or eve
differs no more
