A first moment that felt like a thousand
A lifetime unfolded before my eyes
As you sat across the room oblivious.
Your gentle smile, your charming laugh,
The start of a new adventure.
You drew me in, intrigued me
Made me question my intentions.
I sat there with an unconscious grin
Doing something completely out of character. A shy smile, a conversation with a friend, and I asked for your number;

You were like a wrecking ball
Breaking down my glass prison
Making room to rebuild.
