I was always too much woman for you
I would slip between your fingers
Like grains of sand
I was always too much woman for you
I would float out of your reach
Like a balloon to a child
I was always too much woman for you
I would run you down
Like a bull in a ring
I was always too much woman for you
Like a tidal wave
I swept you away
I tried to be less of a woman for you
And that was the day I lost myself
