For the first time
In a lifetime,
I dream with my eyes closed,
It was a good dream,
With all the colors within
And I shine so bright.
As I open my eyes
Only to find him beside me
And I see him smile,
Wondering why.
"I've driven away all your nightmares, my sweetest." His hands held onto mine,
I feel his touch,
And how our hearts shift
I feel his tender lips collide into mine.
Only then I knew
How he made me feel alive,
And how my restless soul found its peace
How my darkened soul found its light.
So I ask for one more time,
One more dream, I still want to fly.
As he says, "I'm here, my love."
"Stay" I whisper, "Stay with me tonight."
