We were just there.
sitting side by side.
no words were thrown.
only the silence haunting us.

"Is this it?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"What?" you responded.
"The end of us. I thought we were more than this".

There was a long pause, so suffocating before you answered.

"We were never more"
You could not see me in the eyes.
"Our minds were always entangled together, but my heart told me that we were never that deep to call anything that we used to have.......ours"

"Don't you love me? Love....us?"

You finally put up your face, staring right into my soul.

"I loved us" you smiled, weakly

"That feeling was our escape from the world, it was a place where we can be us and love each other, but it was never meant to be our home"
