How to convince a man without a cause
the life he leads could ever bring him joy?
Tell him not to linger upon his loss;
move on and apart, be more than a boy.
"It's foolish for you to think of me so.
My choice has already been made for me.
I will pretend I care not for your soul.
You were only a burden unto me."
Tell him those truths and cease thy lying ways.
Thoughts not thine own now dwell within thy mind.
'Twas you who twisted deeper Fortune's blade;
you claimed that you would not cast him aside.
Sorrow, milady, awake or asleep
to no one else I'll trust my heart to keep.
