Rain falls
inside, outside
all about in hues of grey.

  OUTSIDE
across neighborhoods
it falls in the millions.

INSIDE
mind that collects thoughts
and exchanges them for tears.

Rain falls inside mind,
spilling out matching
puddles on streets.

Perhaps I’ll act as child
to jump in puddles so no one will know
my emotional melt down.

Perhaps if I try
to fix broken dam of heart
with positive thoughts rain within will stop.

Rain keeps falling until,
I balance in breath with self love
for rainbow above
to match rainbow inside.
