the neighbors are fast asleep,
all the lights off in a blackout.
tonight feels so eerily quiet,
with all the crickets waiting out.
i just want to write poetry,
but you are all i think about

I never liked sitting in a room with all the lights out. I tried it tonight though. It felt nice - silent and calming even.
