Buildings collapse in war torn Iraq.
Debris falls on innocent souls,
only wanting a gentle hand.

Dross falls as cries come to deafened ears.
of the command that have no hearts.

Helplessness engulfs those near
who feel the wrath of monsters
as children are fished from rubble still alive

Cries echo asking to be heard,
as rocks hide sun and many a child's light ceases.

And still atrocities fall upon the innocent.
Still the babies and peoples voices
for freedom and peace are unanswered.

Enough I say
while my heart bleeds with compassion.
Enough is enough I declare,
as people long to raise the children
and end abhorrent behaviors
so love prevails.

We as caretakers of mankind
must heed the call to step up and say enough.

We in the world must open ears and eyes
so tears of the precious child and others can be dried.

The winds of change are coming,
they must for peace on earth
if mankind is to survive.
