Depression hits
like a tidal wave.
It comes without warning.
It leaves you drowning,
but you have to be brave,
because if you expect
to be saved,
your sadness
will be waived,
by those already drowning,
beneath their own wave.
There's nothing you can do,
but hold on,
and pray it fades by morning.
