The lights were tinted pink...
Her heels knocked over messily across the floor
Her skimpy dress thrown at the tail of the bed
Her bare body revealing wild prints

She hugged her knees to her chest
A cigarette in her fingers
Her long hair frizzled and tangled
And she watched as he started to stir

She pushed herself off the bed
Sloppily, she stumbled to the bathroom
But he caught her in his arms
Her phone started to buzz with random names

"Let go."

The lights were tinted pink...*
*As he released her
Back into the wild
Where she knew and he thought she belonged
In the most crazy and wrecked nights
