Cold blade
of rain
cuts trees
down to
white meat
Bone chilled
branches
break off
into wisps
of lonely
twigs
discarded
homeless
The onslaught of winter's increasing cold and a rainy day inspired this poem. It a short description of the disconnection from love, and the often overwhelming feeling of the loneliness thereafter.
