Forgotten Memories
When I look back
My life is in two
Joy, I never lack
Despair never new
Times I'd rather keep
Moments I want to last
Yet I can't sleep
Over pains of the past
So I choose to forget
The times that were misery
Ones I always regret
Better left to a mystery
And all that's left
Is what defines me
The parts that are best
Are what I choose to be
