No one said it'd be easy,
always road blocks in the way,
Taking the right path without sway,
Gets harder and harder,  day by day.

This game of life,
so many of us try and play.
Chasing fantasy,
letting reality slip away.
Critics matter more and more
me and my ego not even close anymore.

Instead of fighting for a life,
worth fighting for.
Too busy chasing material things,
always wanting more.
Letting my wants deceive me need,
Replacing what I love with greed.

This fame ain't worth it.
It ***** so succeed.
All that  work.
Just to lose,
...the very thing I need.
