I wanted to tell you about the fire
The fire that began with your crooked smile
The fire that ignited the light in my soul
The night you left I let it consume me whole

The same fire caused me to burn every bridge I ever built
I thought my heart was steel but I am                        melting
Those kerosene eyes set me on fire every time I looked into them

I wanted to tell you about the pillars of my heart
And the day you attacked them and caused the roof to cave in
over everything I've ever known to be true

I thought my biggest fear was fire
But the fire is all that                                     surrounds me now

They say you never know loneliness until you are given a forest
Only for someone to burn it down until it is                     *nothing
