You slip off the side of my dress and whisper I love you in my ear
and of course I say it back, and I mean it
The world doesn't matter in that moment
I forget my work, my worries, and my wonders
and I remember your lips, your love, and your laugh
Our phones ring, but we hear nothing
The clock is ticking, but it feels like it has stopped
There's passion, so much ******* passion
But in the morning it's different again
The world matters now
I remember my work, my worries, and my wonders
and I struggle to remember your lips, your love, and your laugh
I walked out the door and you say I love you
and of course I say it back, and I didn't mean it
