As we're driving i smile and nod
But inside I feel like I'm being torn apart
Like I'm being dragged away
Ripped out of the colors that make up life
As we drive further and further the world is slowly turning grey
Without you in it I feel like I'm fading away
The sunlight is too bright
The air too cold
The blade in my back pocket weighing me down
Calling for my attention
It hurts but I promised to be strong
I wrote this on the way out to Colorado
