Sitting under the moon
Its light falls on my face
The vices whisper to me sweet words
Laced in a façade of grace

The temptation taste like honey
The pain of truth is hidden away
And your words of desperation
Wait for me another day

I feel the burn of desire
It crawls underneath my skin
I have a moment of weakness
Warnings are faded by sin

And in the morning when I wake
My shame flames into me
I crawl into the deepest corners
Where I pray no one can see

I tell myself that it’s alright
And that I’ll start anew
But in my head I cannot shake
Those words that came from you
