I pleaded and prayed so hard for you to stay.
But God must not have heard me,
Because you were gone.
A wisp of a memory,
A pile of clothes in the corner.
All I had left were your scents;
Floating around in every room of mine.
"Don't leave."
I knew those words by heart now.
I could remember your eyes when you
Said, "goodbye."
The worst words.
The words that tore me apart.
I never wanted to give my heart
away; But you came along,
Without permission, and snatched it.
I can't even remember your words,
Besides that one "goodbye."
I mean, all I ever wanted was a *******
Life with you. -DDF
