anointed
                 sons of an herald servant
still stand a'donned in armor, able,

as prey to the furtive fowl
among the tiding drift as many,

and with our perennial love as but
        the choice to cherish mankind,

     the untouched host of sparrows
                       seem to marvel
                                                   as we
