May 2015
when you're upset, you come looking for me.
i'll be there for you to wrap your arms around.

you'll tell me:
"i could snap you in half right now."
through gritted teeth
and tears rolling down your cheeks.
i'll kiss your neck.

tell me: "life is worthless".
i'll lick the dip in your collarbone
and rub your back.

tell me: "I'm a nobody".
i'll run my hands up your chest
and then i'll run them through your curly mess of hair.

tell me: "I'm never going to be happy again".
i'll undo your belt buckle,
slowly but surely
and slip my own underwear off.

tell me: "I'll never see the light anymore".
i'll kiss you deeply,
until you can't speak anymore.

then I'll tell you,
"you're wonderful,
you're the light of my life."
we'll rock to our own rhythm,
our moans become our choir
and the sound of
skin against skin
become our orchestra.

and we'll shudder and tremble suddenly
but together.
you'll stifle a groan
and i'll gasp.
i'll feel a single tear drop on my shoulder,
"thank you."
