Closing time.
Cold marble steps, brisk evening air.
Small cappuccinos,
hot chocolate with cream you didn't ask for.
The Canadian Embassy
casting glittering lights across the fountain waters.
Faint indigo sky,
     laughing about the Renaissance,
falling asleep on the Bakerloo.
