Feb 2015
She appears in the morning,
When nocturnal mists subdue,
In her beauty, without warning,
Freshly glinting on the dew.

Darkness falls beside her splendour,
Foulness dwindles from her charms.
Never heard a voice so tender,
Never held such gentle arms.

In her eyes - the chasms tremendous,
In her smile - a sea of flames.
Her complexion is stupendous,
She is known by many names.

Even though she's not enduring -
Lasting only till the dusk -
Her Γ©lan is so alluring
That she needn't wear a mask.

When she's gone with forenoon drizzle
I fall not into despair,
For, I know, the gods will chisel
Her afresh from morning air.
