Still, you’re the one for me
I got to know you
In these numbered days
I got familiar with your touch
In the matter of seconds

Still, you’re the one for me
Every time you wrapped your arms around my waist
And you held me tight
Planted soft kisses upon my neck
A sigh of content

Still, you’re the one for me
Struck me with hands I once cradled
Spoke to me in your honeysuckle voice
With words of hatred
I don’t know where I went wrong

Still, you’re the one for me
Every poem that I post on here isn't for anyone specifically. They're for me and for anyone who can relate to them.
