Little girl who taught you
that your body is an object of shame
Girl of God
of Truth
ordained.

Who taught you to hide
When you hear his name
Girl of blood
of power
of pain

Little girl who taught you
To be timid and tame
Girl of wrath
of beauty
of flame

Listen to me girl
Fight your demons for a longer while
Girl, little girl, I taste the revolution
             in your smile
This one is special to me. I hope it speaks to you too. Girl, little girl, we're one and the same.

A luta continua.

A cascade into dark, sheer dark.
To fall without misery into you like this,

like this; like this
within art is all of it-- the string of keys

black and white, gallops sometimes; sometimes whispers
like words glide-- but discontinuous falling. Rise

again

          like this; like this
and it is with you, again and again as your reach for your pen.

Your whole being is poetry,
from the way you talk,
the way you walk,
the way your lips,
form wrinkles,
each time you smile,
from your deafening silence,
to your soft voice,
poetry,
when you put your arms around me,
bringing me warmth,
against my cold, melancholic body,
when you hold my hand,
making me feel less lonesome,
making the moment grand,
you're poetry,
complex yet subtle,
defined yet undefined,
and I'm just a hopeless poet,
hopelessly trying to decipher,
hopelessly trying to write,
the ambiguous,
you.
uhhmmm hi! I'm new to this community and I would very much appreciate your criticism on my writing.

And
We are warriors.
