Made of glass wood and cement
Thirteen monsters were council sent
Families lived in high rise flats
And children roamed with the dogs and cats
A little park near a collection of shops
The bus drove round a circle of stops
***** old lifts with gum on the floors
Held strange odours and graffiti on the doors
Darkened stair wells where creatures hid
Causing havoc like delinquents did
Behind the flats the landslide sprawled
Bees buzzed and insects crawled
The river flowed under a bridge which spanned
Connecting the residents to grassy land
Happy people but rough round the edges
As they peered from windows and leant over ledges
Bikes on balconies and clothes hanging down
The disillusioned youth wearing a frown
Drunken rows and secret affairs
All newcomers were greeted with stares
Tiny halls and narrow little rooms
The strange feeling of living in tombs
Sad faces watched the explosion together
The homes they once shared now gone forever

Happynessa
Those people whose first instinct is to smile
When you make eye contact with them
Are some of earths greatest treasures
And the pain that I've been feeling
Can't compare to the joy that's
Returning into my life giving
Me blessing after blessing
I'm truly grateful **

Sometimes my mind seems so full of thoughts
  Ideas spilling overflowing
   like ink onto paper

  Other times
my mind seems hazy
or just rainy day lazy
The more that I try to think
more elusive my thoughts become
making me feel like I'm temporarily numb

His Star.

I chased this evening
evening's fade in sunset clouds,
silver tin-foiled filigree
tied to grey-as-granite mountains.

Tinted skirts of hazy
daytime's late farewell lit night's
ballooning moon parade
displayed as fire on quiet shoreline.

Invasive scarlet-swathe
hued day's best forgotten noon
when darker stronghold's rain
rolled dust-cascades forming gloom.

Drifted with waning sky's
azure came memory's beams,
pain-shot their spotlighting
shadows still haunting my dreams.

Yet I chased tonight
night's demons away by love's
recall when I saw brighter
his star winking at me from above.
