This poem is an ice cube
just pick it up and see
the colors and emotions there
are frozen for all of time
please turn it over and behold
when up against the light
look hard and you will see it flash
reflections of yourself
feel the coldness as it starts
to melt and run with ease
through fingers numb with icy pain
and now with puddles in your lap
this poem's a part of you
Sim0ly woke and wrote.
Let us open with wine
The window of mind
Toward Love's breeze
The sea of halcyon dreams
With ships of golden shadows
And pearls of dusky hue
Let us ditch compass
And sail the dark
In formless fleece of faith
Love is winking
Through the clouds
Of pride and spleen
Waiting
To patch our wounds
And dispatch us
To autumnal bliss
Hallelujah...
What is a feeling
And where does it come from
Is it a vibration
From the earth of your being
Or a joyous image
Of leaking tears
Is it a ping
In cerebral engine
Or a sting off psychic mirror
Is it a continuum of living signs
Or a spectrum of ancestral mines
Whatever it is
Two things are sure
Once it is owned or disowned
It never leaves you alone.
With branches bolts of tinder
And leaves to hide the Moon
The sacred cedar globed the grove
Without an inch of hope
A pyramid of sadness
That prayed to stars at night
In outstretched emerald limbs
To be uprooted and laid to rest
In the woodlands of paradise.
It was the tallest and strongest
The haunt for deadly birds
Who drew passion off its hate
The hate that grew in its sap
Was once rivulets of love
Enthralling it to climb the air
And canoe the clouds passing by
It climbed and climbed
Higher and higher
But came up short
To claim the magic of sky
A disappointment it could not take
For the song of truth was so bare.

The truth that captured its vein
Was but an epiphany of pain
Its monument remains a stump
Portraying amputated desire.
this poem speaks of shattered dreams

Outstretched fingers
in flaccid resignation:
The tragic letters plop
without a kick
without a scream
out mother-poet's womb
senselessly sentenced
to a hollow-frame fate
untitled

All poets mourn together
when a poem is delivered
to the world
without a pulse.

what if

what if moon can see our crimes
from that far out
night's yellow eyes
watching in the day

what if day lights a candle for night
to blow out
put its lover to sleep

what if love is a hunter
we the prey
skinned, prepared
for master of reason

what if reason has the keys
to the locks on your cells
would you set you free

what if freedom is a book
that contains one truth

what if truth is a lie
death allows
life

what if life is defiance
of time
against forever

what if you can catch forever
in chains around your wrist
divide
until too weak to resist

what if forever
like us
is only weak when its divided
Green coated so rarely you see
Seeking meals of small games.
Absolutely silent flows fluidly
Where their fork tongues aim.

Natives inhibit in leafy shades
In trees of canopies high above.
With scales gleaming like jades
Dances to beating drum of love.

Equally well adapted in suburbs
They come in the vicinity of man.
Here the danger lies colours rubs
Into shrubs and bushes to blend.

Via the tip of each tongue winds
Into a Jacobson's ***** impulses
Of the air they kissed send finds
What ahead can satisfy hungers.

Darkest pair of mouths in Africa
Ajar in sheer delight in weird grin
Of secrets hidden uncovered aha!
Food served without obvious sin.

Slides over a nest and exclaims
Death two birdies in cradle ouch.
Yet another victim Africa claims.
I moan not as I lay on my couch.

Crow
How shall I tell with tinseled word
The beauty that is thine
Can tongue so rough or phrase absurd
Express creation divine

If thy hand by chance would brush
Then clouds, course as gravel fly
Lest they be touched and with jagged husk
Disgrace the vaulted sky

A glance be cast from thine eye alone
The sapphire brought to shame
Must steal away no more than stone
Its blazing fire tame

Remove thy veil, thy countenance revealed
Glorious Sol his face must hide
Averting his gaze, his luster concealed
Giving place of pride

Should thy lips favoring, a kiss bestow
Rubies abased, on bended knee
Acknowledging a hue beyond that they know
Become versed in humility

If poor verse could induce thee to concede
One exquisite facet of form or face
Then thine eyes and mine should be agreed
Upon thy incomparable grace
