I write these poems
for only one reason
I don’t care the day
or the time or the season

If flowers are blooming
or skies are bright blue
If meadowlarks sing midst
the fresh morning dew

If butterflies float
on a warm summer breeze
Or moonlight reflects
off of calm evening seas

If snow flurries fall
ever soft on the ground
Or musical whispers
are flitting around

If day turns to night
or night turns to day
If it starts to rain
washing it all away

If the sunrise is coming
or stars glow above
I write these poems
so she knows she is loved
Ok, I know this isn't one of my best but
sometimes you just need to tell her she is loved, because...she is.

The breast of the sea swells tonight
as her efforts to rise, heightened
by great heaving breaths, break her skin
like inflated balloons, topped thinly
with spume, sea bursts in labour.
She roars, tries suppressed pitch to gain
the shore, finds her efforts are checked
then sweeps out once more, tumbling
somersaults over herself, grumbling
with submarine thunderly sounds.
Begets disorder by flinging herself round,
sea bloats, yet moving no slower,
bellows ignored, her foaming tears flow
down watery frills and rollers make
naught of revealing  her saline-stained face.
Sea-swell intends to bare all this night-time
in majestic embraces with Spring tide.

A girl weeps in the limelight
Waiting for the days to end,

A ship anchors its weight
Where a girl weeps in the limelight
Waiting for the days to end,

The bird flies over the cloud
And a ship anchors its weight,
Where a girl weeps in the limelight
Waiting for the days to end,

Rain descends like stars
The bird flies over the cloud
And a ship anchors its weight,
Where a girl weeps in the limelight
Waiting for the days to end,

Bees hover over my memoir
Rain descends like stars
The bird flies over the cloud
And a ship anchors its weight,
Where a girl weeps in the limelight
Waiting for the days to end,

Earth sleeps in her lap
Bees hover over my memoir
Rain descends like stars
The bird flies over the cloud
And a ship anchors its weight,
Where a girl weeps in the limelight
Waiting for the days to end,

She descends to death !

It's that time of the year again
when my paper boats get itchy
seeking your streams to
carry themselves to ecstasy's ocean...

Pregnant sky expectant
of a grand extravaganza
guides me to the horizon
where your kisses are stored
in a sacred vault ...

I seek, I wander
like a kite without string,
winds taking me where
your sprinkles bear my name

Come! adorn my path
script a slippery song
on the muddy terrain
that smells like home now ...
I want to put a dream catcher on my headboard
Hoping that it will take away my bad dreams
Letting me sleep peacefully at night
Wishing that you'll kiss me goodnight.

I want to put a dream catcher on my headboard
So that I could get rid of waking up in the middle of the night
Sweating hard with untamed throbbing of the heart
And not being able to go back to sleep.

I want to put a dreamcatcher on my headboard
So that my sweet dreams won't turn into nightmares
'Cause you keep on appearing in my visions
Wondering if you have something to convey.

But if those nightmares
Were the only thing that keeps on reminding me of you
I wouldn't have a second thought
Of putting this dream catcher away...

You will not see my shadow pass
the gate of mournings eerie dark
Nor hear my voice among the reeds
that grow above my silenced heart
No fondest kiss to furrowed brow
to quell the torment of your making
for you have left me here alone
to sleep the sleep that knows no waking.
The last line was pilfered from a Victorian grave stone. It was too beautiful to leave there.
