I've come from lands far away.
I was taken hostage and prisoner,

I ran away.
I was caught and whipped,
And forced to work again.

I ran away again,
I was caught again too.
This time they also,
Cut off my right foot.

I married a lady named Bell,
Who was black and a slave like me,
We had a little daughter,
Whom I loved and named Kizzy.

I died of a broken heart,
When my wife was bought and sold.
I now lay in a grave,
My story forgotten and in everlasting cold.

It's body blocks your smell.

As I become a shooting star.

Like a shooting star to Earth,
Who gives light as it dies.
However the star gives birth,

**What Am I?

Why do I feel so empty?
Why do I feel so blue?
My memories I cant remember instead,
My mind's fogged up by you.

The waves are rolling,
To the shore and back.
The ocean is roaring,
The waves launch one last attack.

The sun goes down,
The sky explodes.
I let the waves carry me,
And followed the ocean flow.

Wherever they take me,
I will find my muse.
Hey it doesn't matter if I die,
I've got nothing to lose.

He couldn't just let me go,
He dragged me down with him.
He made sure I lost too,
And now the future looks pretty dim.

A homeless man once said to me,

I flew up to the sky and saw the ocean was blue,

As I circulated the world I finally understood,

My teacher said I had a lot of potential,
My friends thought I was hiding talent.
A few years later I soon found out,
That I could have been,
A fearsome dragon,
A blazing phoenix,
A savage shark,
A true leader.

Blazing, fierce heat.
How I manage to still live,
Is a pretty sick feat.

Life is measured in time
in strength and determination
while standing in the fallout line

I've been to Syria and much horrors I've seen,
I've been to Afghanistan and terrorists I've seen.
I've been to places where I should never have been,
I've seen hell.
I've been to Ethiopia where people beg for food,
I've been to China where people are *****.
I've been to Brazil and seen child labor.
And no one was going to help.
Ive been to France where the homeless sleep on streets,
I've been to Venezuela where people are murdered everyday.
I've been to Trinidad and Tobago where people hunt and steal.
*I've done my best to help,
But I can't do it alone.
Remember the horrors others have faced,
And lets make the world a better place.

I walk these streets alone,
Empty, forgotten and finally free.
The old faces of happiness and hope,
Are long gone and never to be seen.
I'm the only one left,
My street is dead.
The old community that once thrived,
Has now sadly died.

Pass through the arteries and into the lungs,
Through the capillaries.
Till I  reach my heart.

A muscle at work,
A place of love,
A place of feeling,
A place of peace.

My instincts tell me not to fall back,
For if I do my story will end.
When I finally discover me,
I can finally make the world a better place to be.

A golden compass,

The boat is leaking as I sail to the unknown,
The wind blows against my hind.
But no way am I afraid,
As I sail to look and find.
The true me.

I'm always under pressure,
I'm always expected to be great.
I'm always expected to be the leader,
But I'm not the best so don't under-estimate.

Here is tale from long ago,
It goes long but you wont get bored.
Where heroes slay a ferocious foe,
And this is their long lost lore...

Centuries ago when Romans ruled the land,
The barbaric Britons tried and failed.
To defend their noble land,
And so the Romans came and hailed.

However one queen would not have that,
She would cut the Romans down.
Despaired that her husband's death,
She made sure the Romans drowned.

Soon there were a ferocious battle,
The Britons fought strong and held.
They reclaimed their land and cattle,
And killed the Roman general.

Despite their victory,
Sadly it wont last long.
The Romans came and killed,
And the Britons were doomed all along.

The queen of Iceni,
Soon took her life.
The Britons remained buried her by a tree,
Next to her husband a loving wife.

So here ends my tale,
Its sad but true.
But to all Britons hail,
For they had victories too.
