There was a girl I know,
With her sea-green eyes.
Who once said to me
"Beware the wolf, for the wolf lies"

"Don't fear the sheep that bleats,
But fear the one that hides
For it may be the wolf hunting,
With its disguise"

"But don't fret for the whispers,
You hear in the light.
For they can't hurt you,
When it is bright"

"The wolf is smart and cunning,
But do not reply.
When he asks you to follow him,
Into paradise"

"But the wolf will fear love,
The wolf will fear right.
For even the darkness,
Won't hide its demise"

"So don't be afraid,
Of the wolves that will just pass by
For you'll find your shelter,
In a love that doesn't lie"

But love, like wolves, can change its form,
And hearts can shift like skies.
Still, I’ll trust her gentle gaze,
Those deep sea-green eyes.

As the days get shorter,
The autumn takes our leaves away.
As the night grows longer,
The winter comes to stay.
The skies they go grey,
Streaked by purple, red and orange.
The sun bows and says its goodbye,
“Glory, Glory, Glory”,
Echoes into the darkness.
But with the cold comes purpose,
Let the fields sleep for a while.
Look up my love,
It’s snowing!

The love of my life once said to me.
"When will you meet me by the sea?"
Her hair golden and Her eyes blue of ice
As if she hasn't got a twinkle in her eye,
Forget me once, maybe I'll thank you twice.
And we will dance together, under the great blue sky.

Hey lady Dawn
What's that colour in the sky?
Could it be the rays of light
From the days gone by?
And dare I cry your name,
As your colours fade to grey.
Take me to that paradise up high.

I don't want to be lonely,
or regretting love every time.
been praying for an angel,
to descend from the skies.
and so little cupid,
with your arrows and wings.
shoot me down,
with a bit of everything.
and tomorrow when I wake up,
with feelings I won't remember.
I catch them and I lose them,
been waiting since november.

and so i take another shot,
and pretend its all bliss.
pour another round,
until I see your cherry lips.
taste your wine,
and take another trip.
chase the whiskey,
and move those hips.
run all out of liquor,
but she begins to strip.
empty my gin its alright,
i begin to lose my grip
one more bottle,
but she begins to slip,
three more shots,
and my mind is eclipsed.
bottom's up

she's a renegade,
she plays by her own rules.
yes she's sweet,
but my heart,
to her,
is a fool.
