It was only a small thing

trivial,almost non existent

it had a small voice , not a whisper

but you had to squint to hear it

it was a lonely thing,

hiding behind trees and under rocks

you  knew it was there,

you always knew

but you were to busy to care for it

and pretty soon you forgot it existed all together

and when it died, of it’s neglect

nothing changed for you.

your emptiness merely began to make sense.

PS
Being with you
is pure bliss,
When your laughter fills the room
When your hair catches the sunlight
When you casually touch my arm
- mid-conversation

Being with you
is slow torture,
When your ignorance suffocates me
When you try my endless patience
When you take and take and take
- every single piece of me

Being with you
is an adventure,
When you spontaneously take me out
When you startle me with your flirting
When you reveal your vulnerable side
- to me and me only

Being with you
is plenty of drama,
When you are stubborn like a child
When you fall into accusing silence
When you treat me like air
- necessary and always given

Being with you
is like a day in wonderland
When you share your deepest thoughts
When your attention is all on me
When you paint our future
- with bright words and shining eyes

Being with you
is heart-breaking
When you cry after him
When you keep chasing dreams
When you're being hurt
- over and over again

Being with you is all I desire
- and what I can never have

Finale

Triiniity
One last shudder. My final words were stuttered. Not worth the final energy I had to muster to mutter these useless sounds. A silent cry from deep inside. A free-for-all for the blind. It's all a lie and I searched my heart and I found.
Just let me go. It's my time. My finale comes when I say my final line. I accept these words as useless and feel like I can't compete. Most times these words are fruitless so I won't speak at all.
A new chapter is scary
Like a whole entire new book
My mind's still stuck in the last one
And I don't know how I look.

child of two moons
        the harvest wheat grows
        diamonds
        on its stalks

daughter of the broken king
your carousel’s chained bears and albino
        peacocks scream at night for
        their release

lonely lover
the keyhole is  rusted since he last
        touched you
        the oil getting rancid

martyred saint
your doe heart has an arrow of Cupid’s
        skewering through a demon’s
        confession written in fire

weeping widow
your maid took your cup of tears
        to water the lilies giving
        root at his grave

sanguine seamstress
        do not stitch the bird’s
        wing that has bashed
        out its brains

non-existent soul mate
        your fingerprints stain
        my poems
        with star grease

lover whose number I lost track of
        I feel your footsteps ricochet
        within my bones please
stop running I’m trying to sleep

Twilight falls across the bay
Soothes the worries of the day
As the shore adores the sea
Me for you and you for me

Stars appear across the sky
Whisper leaf and curlew cry
As the lock is for the key
Me for you and you for me

There is traffic, there is waste
Icy doubt and black disgrace
There are thunderclouds of fear
But they cannot touch us here
There are nightmares, there are wars
Broken hearts and slamming doors
There are phantoms of the mind
Here, we leave them all behind

Gentle darkness on the land
Beating hearts and touching hands
It's as simple as can be
Me for you, and you for me.
