My feelings for you
are like the ocean
one minute they're
calm
balanced
hardly even there at all
and the next they're
rushing towards the
ends of my tongue
violently trying to break fee
but then only to end up
crashing and retreating
to the back of my throat
I want to tell you how I
feel but how am I
supposed to that if
all this time I've spent
trying to figure out my feelings
was just enough time
for you to give up
and move on
I finally figured out how I feel about you but you don't care about me anymore

my heart is made of concrete

my lungs of porcelain and tile

my heartbeat is a car horn

and my legs are stacked like steel

my mind is a city

full of blinking lights and sounds

I have a man-made personality

You are my all,
You pick me up when I fall.
You are my everything,
You make the stars shine brighter at night.
You bring me back into the light.
You make me want to sing.
You make me want to dance,
You even give me a second chance.

When I didn't think the world could get any more beautiful,
You bring sunshine on a cloudy day
and the light warms my face.

*I trust in your unfailing love
my heart rejoices in your salvation;
I will sing to the Lord,
for he has been good to me.
(Psalm 13:5-6)
There is a door
   A secret door
      A lovely, painted, magic door
Etched with a promise to take me to
            A world in which
               I'd want to live.
There is a place
   A hidden place
      A beautiful and enchanted place
Home to people with the purest of souls
            People with which
               I'd love to live.
There is a home
   A perfect home
      A gorgeous, ageless, tiny home
Adorned with rooms for those I love
            Rooms in which
               I dream I'll live.
There is a face
   A ravishing face
      A splendid, classy, radiant face
The face I hope to one day wear
When I go through the door
               To that place, my home.
The only thing
worse than not having you
is having you

The rain is racing down the window behind me
With a cup of warm tea sitting on the side.
I am propelled through the pages of the book that I hold in my clenched hands.
I am leading a charge into battle.
Storming the infallible towers that I ensure will fall by first light.
I am embracing my sweetheart
After a separation that seemed like a lifetime.
I am slaying the dragon
And saving the enslaved kingdom.
I am holding my love's hand
As we run through the night to places unknown.
The rain is beating against the window,
Yet I am warm living the lives of hundreds of others.
you're constantly checking
that photo you just uploaded
2 likes in 20 minutes
you start thinking of everyone
who has seen it
what did they think of it
obviously not that you're pretty
they couldn't click a single button
to make you feel a little better
ten more minutes go by
only one more like
from your great aunt
it took you 13 trys to
get the picture just right
you liked it at first-
so you thought
now as you re examine it
you see the flaws
no wonder why no one liked it
how embarrassing it's been up
about 35 minutes now
finally you delete it
before anyone else can see
