From here
You can only see
The brightest stars
Skies so dark
Between lights
Spread far

Way down here
Our existence stalls
Adrift this
Tiny little speck
Of a crowded
Conscious ball

Suspended in a portion
Of one of
One hundred billion galaxies

Down here it's not so clear
  What's going on up there...

don't you ever wonder about the fact that even rockstars sing about heartbreak?
i realize it now.
it's not so much about who you are or what you can do, it's more that you're human.
so, instead of looking for a nice house, like the one i used to rent, I'm going to settle for a cabin in the woods.
I'm fine with nothing, because with that, I'm guaranteed to keep it.

Opening up the curtain, to let the brightness seep into my bedroom,
I can’t imagine a more glorious morning.
Had the Sun not have shined today,
The flowers of my garden shriveling up to potpourri,
And cloudiness infiltrating the sky,
I’ll still be astonished at the fact that I can’t possibly find a way to be blue,
Knowing that I have found you.

The Sun has shined for me,
extraordinarily by surprise.
I figure I'd go out for a walk today,
to think about what could have been,
Had I have failed to love you.

But failing to love you,
Is like successfully breeding a fox with an amphibian.
It’s impossible to conclude,
The very idea of not having you,
For days unlike today where I am feeling blue.
Struggles of loneliness and isolation that have been my finest foe,
I grasp the very idea of gaining you as my guardian angel.
Let it be said that I cannot think to tempt,
The fate that has brought us together.

Your giggles are like music to my sensitive ears,
As your smile is like the Moon shining in my darkness.
I’m oh so grateful for this opportunity given to me,
For it is now that I will no longer spend nights,
Praying to be of someone’s interest.

The Sun surely has shined for me.
No enemy of mine could ruin this day,
Since I am a man who has inherited love,
And shall never let a cloud shade this love from the Sun.
Love is great!

the dawn comes late these days
slow from across the sea
the arc of the Sun skims over the brow of the hills
lower each time
soon we will have more dark than light
it will be a final turning into deep winter
and days will shorten even more
- the dawns will quickly fade to night.

this place is a scrapyard for humans
broken, beaten, barren souls
a dull pale loneliness is looming
in the hearts of burnt out coals

logging in to the hopes and desires
a jaded and solitary heart
rubbing two sticks to start fires
hoping for the flames to start

Here at the end
of the continent
everyday the same
sea and sky elemental
endless blue planes
interrupted only
by a wayward bird
a flash of white
like a gull
lost out in the null
as September wanes
into Autumn's moon
breaking like a spell
casting my shadow
like a sundial
measuring my footprints
away and alone
on these wind(s)wept
bare lonely dunes.
