Surrender
K Mae Oct 2012
Considered by me only
after countless casualties
result of internal battle

Surrender
to this moment
to what is
within and before me
not judging right or wrong

Receive what Is.

Then

Make
a
Choice
Surrender, a concept much discussed with my highly valued stubborn self ; this writing inspired in part by a conversation thread in which Bala spoke about surrender being now an unpopular position.

I deny that I make
as simple and complex
as time give and take
Blame love

Passions the seasons

when drama is over
I know once again
I bring it all to me
in all the disguises

Exist with pain
K Mae Oct 2012
For days, did nothing but freak out, yelp and moan
exist with pain
Let the pop-doctor press ribs back into place
Then merciful drugs to dull the feeling, coax muscles to relax
Now I drift into sleep with little warning
during conversation, at the computer
In this state, no poetry comes through me
Today, I re-approach sanity and well being.

*How do people live with chronic pain ?
I am now beginning to see that a deeper healing can come from this, an injury which I brought on myself, through over zealous commitment to my task, needing to come to this extreme to just stop.

So she said.
Upright and mobile, weary of this lonely arrogant stance.
For whom, before what shall I crumble, inhaling relief of the kneeling ?
Or fold all the way down, head beneath heart, tender child's pose.
Might that be beginning or ending ?
Might there be surrender salvation here pending ?

I Shall Dig
K Mae Sep 2012
This night a wildish symphony
bold crickets' rubs and frogs.
Some I misname or not name at all
and some I cannot hear.
Air decadent, moist, sweet delicate warm
permeates me..... incessantly.

What breathing, changing boundary holds and defines me?
None Now

I am beckoned and welcomed by All
so
Come Morning I shall dig.
I will kneel in hungry gratitude
for opening of Earth
Plant myself deep as I can
while tending Iris, Lily, Rose.
I am here now !

until all freezes no color will grow
no blooms no creatures here flying
Then what does it matter I'd just as soon Spirit
is welcome to sweep me away.

But I've gone too far now.
Come back to this moment
with sun warming morning
when

to you who loves ~~  is loved

I see with joy dreams dared and shared

K Mae Aug 2012
He is my Only One.
I'm lover rich with family and friends.
Love for Him can eclipse any other.
Adoring my husband, though not like my son
Loving my man with mind heart and body
but Son is my One
Partners are bonded, supporting and growthful
But Son is my One
Danger here, I've learned to be vigilant.
Separate love from feelings of need
feeling the need that only He fills
Tolerate free fall
as if not connected
into the birth core of me

I know we are stirred

Those who stay are busy freaking

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms,
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my *******,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing,
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need for my care.
’Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
